Laghu Rudraabhishek & Maha Rudrabhishek are the two major variants of Rudrabhishek in which 11 repetitions of ‘Rudrashtdhyayi’ is chanted by 11 priests. These 11 priests represents 11 Rudras of Lord Shiva namely Kapali, Pingala, Bhima, Virupaksha, Vilohita, Ajapada, Ahirabradhya, Shasta, Shambhu, Chanda, and Bhava.
